This year, the Archdiocese of New York is embarking on a new campaign to support the spiritual, pastoral, educational, and charitable ministries that make our Archdiocese so dynamic and alive.  While the name is different ― The Archdiocesan Stewardship Appeal ― the campaign, formerly called The Cardinal's Annual Appeal, helps to fund the same vital services.

Stewardship is a way of life.  It asks us to recognize our individual gifts and talents and to share our blessings with our brothers and sisters.  We are called to be stewards of our faith and of our blessings of time, talent, and treasure.

There are so many reasons why the appeal is important not only to those in need, but also to us in our parish community.  Your gift to the Archdiocesan Stewardship Appeal helps countless men, women, and children and sustains the fabric of Archdiocesan ministries.

What does your generosity do?

•    It helps educate our children in our Catholic schools and religious education programs.

•    It provides for retired priests and religious by giving them the retirement care they deserve after decades of service.

•    It helps educate future priests and deacons who will serve the Church of New York.

•    It enables the Archdiocese to support struggling parishes in continuing to shepherd God's people and to educate our youth.

•    It provides funding for the myriad of professional services and the guidance which parishes, schools, and other ministries receive through the Archdiocese.

The Archdiocesan goal for the 2010 appeal is $17,000,000.  Our parish goal at Saint Jean Baptiste is $96,000.
