Dear Members: We are in the process of developing the NAS into a Lay Federation, The initiative has been taken up by Mr. Jesus Armando Rocha and the National Hispanic Department of the NAS. The following is a letter sent to Mr. Rocha on November 23, 1999. We welcome your observations and comments. We shall keep you updated.

Dear Jesus Armando Rocha:
Enclosed are the materials that you requested concerning the FEDERACION MUNDIAL DE LAS OBRAS DE LA ADORACION NOCTURNA DE JESUS SACRAMENTADO.
As per our conversation on the phone:
A. I would be very pleased if you continued to explore the feasibility of a lay federation for the Nocturnal Adoration Society for the United States (for the Americas?). In the United States, I envision the head Chaplaincy remaining here at Saint Jean Baptiste Church in New York City. The Nocturnal Adoration Society was first established and entrusted to the Pastor, who is a member of Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament, at Saint Jean Baptiste Church. As I see it, the head Chaplain would be a part of the federation, but not its President. Pray and reflect upon this proposal with your people and priests.
B. I would also like you to consider my invitation to look into the possibility of your presence at the International Eucharistic Congress, which takes place in June of the year 2000, in Rome. As I said, you could be our national representative at the Congress. Please let me know what airfare and accommodations might cost for such a pilgrimage. I think it would be best to act on this as soon as possible. In Italy, there are many convents and religious houses open to pilgrims for the Holy Year.

I am presently constructing pages for the Society that will make available to all the essential materials, which pertain to the Society. It certainly was my pleasure to have spoken with you. I am grateful, and appreciate your deep faith and willingness to be of service to our Lord Jesus Christ present in the Holy Eucharist. And in particular, that Jesus be adored and honored through the apostolate of the Nocturnal Adoration Society.
