"The
Virgin's Name Was Mary"
Luke 1:17
by Fr. Eugene LaVerdiere, S.S.S.
Mary has a major role in the New Testament, especially in the Gospel of Luke and the Gospel of John. In this audio-cassette course, originally part of the distinguished Summer Bible Institute from the Oratory in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Fr. Eugene LaVerdiere returns with his insights to explore the role of Mary in the entire New Testament, in relation to Christ, to the church, and to the people of God. Through a close reading of text and careful applications of Biblical insights, Fr. LaVerdiere draws insightful corollaries to today's important pastoral concerns, and how our Mother in faith embraced and lived these same issues.
